In-text citations
When should you use in-text citations?
A good rule of thumb to go by is to cite anything that another person said, or ideas from another persons work. For example, if you were to read another persons work and felt what they wrote represents or supports the idea you are trying to get across in your own work, feel free to use what the author write but you must cite it. If you like what another person has to say but not the way they said it you could paraphrase their words and cite that too.
